[NA Eun-kyung, Edaily Reporter] Celltrion reported record quarterly revenue and operating profit for the third quarter of 2026, driven by growing sales of newer, higher-margin biosimilars.

The South Korean biopharmaceutical company said Tuesday that consolidated revenue rose 53.1% from a year earlier to 1.58 trillion won ($1.1 billion), while operating profit jumped 74.3% to 525.3 billion won ($367 million). Both figures marked the company‘s highest quarterly results on record.

Its operating profit margin reached 33.3%, up 4 percentage points from a year earlier.

The final results exceeded preliminary figures released Oct. 12 by 75.5 billion won in revenue and 15.3 billion won in operating profit. Celltrion had initially projected revenue of 1.5 trillion won and operating profit of 510 billion won.

Sales of newer products rose about 74% year over year to 905.8 billion won in the third quarter. These products accounted for 67% of the company’s biopharmaceutical sales, up 13 percentage points from a year earlier and 2 percentage points from the previous quarter.

Celltrion expects the share of newer products to reach 70% by the end of the year.

Combined third-quarter sales of Remsima SC, a subcutaneous formulation of infliximab, and its U.S. brand Zymfentra rose 19% to 254.2 billion won. Their combined sales totaled 710.4 billion won in the first nine months of the year, putting the products within reach of 1 trillion won in annual revenue.

Sales of Yuflyma, a biosimilar used to treat autoimmune diseases, increased 27% to 183.2 billion won in the third quarter. According to Celltrion, Yuflyma held a market share of about 22% in Europe in the second quarter.

Omlyclo, a biosimilar of the allergy treatment omalizumab, also posted strong growth. Its cumulative sales for the first nine months reached 320.5 billion won, up 542.3% from 49.9 billion won a year earlier.

The company attributed the increase partly to its early entry into the European market, where it secured tenders in major countries.

Omlyclo is now sold in 26 European countries. Celltrion said its market share in Spain exceeds 90%.

The product was launched in the United States earlier this month as the country‘s first omalizumab biosimilar. It has approval for all the indications of the reference drug and carries an interchangeability designation, allowing pharmacists to substitute it for the original product subject to applicable state laws.

Celltrion has also expanded its U.S. distribution network for Avtozma, another biosimilar, through a supply agreement with a major health care company.

The company expects the U.S. launch of Omlyclo and expanded distribution of Avtozma to contribute to fourth-quarter sales.

Alongside its biosimilar business, Celltrion continues to invest in new drug development, including antibody-drug conjugates. The company said it achieved record quarterly operating profit despite expenses associated with research and development and its global direct-sales operations.

“We expect to maintain our growth momentum in the fourth quarter, supported by a higher share of sales from newer, higher-margin products and the expansion of our sales network, including the U.S. launch of Omlyclo,” a Celltrion official said.
